The accordion menu has long been a feature of Zen Grid Framework themes. A simple piece of javascript transformed your standard Joomla menu module into an accordion menu that allows the user to navigate through multi-level vertical menus in your site's sidebar. Zen Grid Framework V4 (zgf4) themes use a flexible approach to adding an offcanvas module to your website. 

The offcanvas panel can be used to display any module content. It can also be used to display the responsive menu content for screen sizes smaller than the nav collapse value specified in your template settings. This makes the offcanvas panel a powerful tool to use for displaying information /fucntionality on your site that may not be important enough to be displayed on the canvas but your users need access to regardless.
